Born in Batavia in the Dutch East Indies, September 5, 1828, by 1846 Heyligers was living and working in Ravenstein.
In 1848, he moved to Geertruidenberg remaining there until 1857; between 1859 and 1867 the artist is recorded as living in Grave before moving to Brussels followed by The Hague in 1878 where he died on 11th April 1897.

Date: 2008-01-22 12:44 pm (UTC)Вот любопытно: что в картинах выдаёт, что это всё же не XVII век? Я не сразу прочла имя художника и время его жизни, смотрела на картинки и думала: "Почему же "подражая"? Как будто, кто-то из "малых"... Но какой-то странный..."
В чём странность?
