Helix Nebula
The Helix Nebula, 690 light years away from Earth, is a planetary nebula, a bubble of heated gas around a dying sun which can be seen in the center of the nebula's ring. This image is actually a composite image taken by both the Hubble Space Telescope and the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile.
